Entrepreneurial spirit for Senahú youth

Fundación Trece Aguas, with the support of INTECAP, recently completed a “Voltaic Arc Welding” course taught to 24 young people from the municipality of Senahú, Alta Verapaz.

The participants were instructed for 80 hours during a local workshop. This course allowed young people to be trained in the use of metalworking tools, especially electric welding machines.

It’s worth mentioning that among the participants in this course were 11 young women (46% of the students), which proves that women also have a strong interest in learning new skills and trades, breaking paradigms within the communities.

Fundación Trece Aguas, with these types of activities, provides spaces for learning and growth for young people in the area, helping them train in new skills that allow them better opportunities for development for themselves, their families, and their communities.
