Fundación Trece Aguas has carried out different actions for the prevention of Covid-19, supporting different institutions and communities in Senahú, Alta Verapaz and Taxisco, Santa Rosa.
During these months of crisis, the Foundation gave 2 face masks per family in 24 communities in Senahú. Also gave 2 masks per family in El Naranjito community in Taxisco, making a total of 5,524 masks donated and benefiting 2,762 families.
As part of the aid and support to the communities in Senahú, 35 midwives were equipped with hygiene and protection supplies, since they are in the front line of health care and need the equipment for a safe childbirth. The supplies donated are: protective gowns, face masks, gloves, antibacterial soap, face shields and quaternary ammonium.
As a complement to the work and donations, messages of prevention and hygiene in Q'eqchi ' language and in Spanish, have been broadcast on community radio stations.
